Physicians
The Advanced Health Education Center, Ltd. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. All ultrasound courses provided in the Houston Center are approved for AMA Category 1 Continuing Medical Education.
The Family Practice Ultrasound program has been reviewed and is acceptable for 22.25 prescribed hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
The Emergency Department Ultrasound program is approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for 24 hours of ACEP Category 1 credit.
The Advanced Emergency Department Ultrasound program is approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for 16 hours of ACEP Category 1 credit.

Sonographers
All Ultrasound courses for sonographers are approved by the SDMS (Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers). The ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) accepts ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) approved credit. Sonographers may also attend the Category 1 CME courses for credit.
Credits
Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. CME certificates are available at the conclusion of each class.
Disclosure
All faculty participating in continuing medical education activities sponsored by Advanced Health Education Center, Ltd. are expected to disclose to the program audience any real or apparent conflict of interest or commercial bias related to the content of their presentation. Full faculty disclosure is made at the beginning of the class.

Diagnostic Radiology
All other courses offered by AHEC are approved by the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) and approved by all states with licensure requirements.
