Ultrasound Training - Emergency Medicine Symposium Ultrasound Applications|AHEC
The "Golden Hour" is one of the pillars of emergency medicine. Every minute lost can be a life lost. When you need ultrasound and there is no time to waste; it is not the time to "learn on the job". Be better able to visualize ultrasound images by boosting your understanding of imaging perspectives and recognition of anatomical orientation. Having the skills to perform abdominal trauma exams, the FAST procedure, 1st trimester pregnancy and cardiac ultrasound scans may make the difference! Participants in this course will benefit from "hands on scan labs" where the ultrasound faculty will teach you the essential skill and technique to acquire an ultrasound image to make a quick and accurate diagnosis.
Advanced Health Education Center, Ltd. has taught this course for physicians and technologists in the U.S., China, and South America for a number of years. The course is being expanded with an optional special procedure day for emergency physicians who will be performing ultrasound guided procedures.
