Ultrasound Training - Ultrasound Training CME |Stat Care Ultrasound Critical Care Physicians

STAT Ultrasound has become an important necessity in the treatment of life threatening emergencies. You will learn the major anatomical areas of the body including the vasculature generally involved in these emergencies. You will fee comfortable at the completion of this three day learning experience visualizing the images necessary to obtain the vital diagnosis. You will benefit from the "hands on" scanning labs where the ultrasound faculty will teach the essential skills for acquiring ultrasound images. Advanced Health has 20 years of excellence teaching the "must know" skills for ultrasound to health care practitioners.

Objectives
At the completion of the course, the learner will be able to:

  • Discuss the basics of how ultrasound works.
  • Explain the orientation to human anatomy and the relationship to the Ultrasound probe
  • Discuss probe preparation for invasive procedures.
  • Perform ultrasound evaluations of the heart, selected arteries, solid organs and demonstrate the ability to scan the chest, abdomen, orbit, and extremities.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal sonographic anatomy in the eye, chest, abdomen, soft tissue and extremities.
  • Demonstrate and apply ultrasound guided vascular access on an ultrasound phantom.
  • Explain ultrasound applications useful in managing the critically ill, or unstable patients.
