Ultrasound Training -Vascular Interpretation Ultrasound
Whether you're a busy physician who needs to sharpen your interpretation skills or your trying to document formal training for Vascular Lab Accreditation this is the course for you. The course will equip you with the tools and techniques that help you achieve greater confidence and accuracy in your interpretation skills in vascular ultrasound. It was designed to maximize your time away by focusing on the normal versus abnormal vascular scans in a small group setting that will include lecture, case study presentations and interpretation sessions. The course topics will include the factors that help you optimize the Doppler examination, review of the artifacts that can affect diagnostic accuracy, characterize and correlate formation, and spectral Doppler and color flow imaging analysis.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this course the participant will be able to:
Discuss the technical factors that affect the quality of the color Doppler scan
Identify normal anatomy on a Doppler scan
Identify Doppler/color artifacts on a scan
Identify normal waveform characteristics on a Doppler scan
Recognize abnormal spectral and color Doppler pathology on a Doppler scan
Characterize plaque formation
List the interpretation criteria for NASCET and ACAS
Correlate and analyze the normal vs. abnormal information on a Doppler scan
Complete the interpretation and structure a report for a Cerebrovascular scan
Discuss the technical factors that affect the quality of the Peripheral vascular ultrasound scan
Identify normal anatomy on a lower extremity arterial scan
Identify waveform characteristics on a venous scan
Recognize acute DVT, chronic DVT and venous insufficiency on a scan
Correlate and analyze the normal vs. abnormal information on Peripheral vascular scan
Complete the interpretation and structure a report for a peripheral vascular scan
Interpretation of carotid and vertebral ultrasound examinations
NASCET and ACAS criteria
Case studies and practice interpretation session
Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation

Courses cater to convenience
Our course content is aimed at the future - your future. In addition to imaging skills coursework, there is a complete line of continuing education seminars that will connect you with the latest information. Seminars are available throughout the year in different cities making it convenient to update existing skills. Partnership classes sponsored in health care facilities can make the education available in smaller geographic venues with the choice of subject content catering to the local audience.
Services are customizable
Faculty is available for private consulting, tutorials, and instruction. Our experts can provide a range of services including image assessment, quality control and quality assurance, accreditation, education, hands-on training, and project management. If you can not wait for a class on our regular schedule, we can arrange for private tutorials. We also provide classes on-site for physicians' groups and radiology departments. We still make "House Calls".
