Ultrasound Training - Vascular Ultrasound
This course covers vascular anatomy and hemodynamics in depth. Spectral and color Doppler physics will be discussed, from the discovery of the principle by Dr. Christian Andreas Doppler through the detailed physics of both modalities. The correlation between the Doppler modalities will be covered so that you can correctly interpret the information in your scans. The optimization of the major Doppler controls of each modality will be discussed and examples will be shown. The know-how to optimize these functions will improve your ability to produce more diagnostic images at the scanning sessions. Presentations will be given on the use of Doppler in each of the following studies: carotids, peripheral venous, peripheral arterial and abdominal. These clinical presentations will include the anatomy and hemodynamics of the vessels under discussion, normal and abnormal studies and scan tips. All the studies will be demonstrated and you will practice on models during the scanning sessions.
Objectives
At the completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
Correctly identify vessel anatomy and orientation in a vascular ultrasound examination.
dentify the variations in instrumentation and Doppler principles and the effects in scanning parameters.
Describe the flow characteristics and the manifestations of disease processes.
Discuss QA of the procedure and equipment.
Analyze the results of a vascular exam for pathological conditions and in certain cases, quantify the diseases.
Identify additional resource information on vascular ultrasound.

Courses cater to convenience
Our course content is aimed at the future - your future. In addition to imaging skills coursework, there is a complete line of continuing education seminars that will connect you with the latest information. Seminars are available throughout the year in different cities making it convenient to update existing skills. Partnership classes sponsored in health care facilities can make the education available in smaller geographic venues with the choice of subject content catering to the local audience.
Services are customizable
Faculty is available for private consulting, tutorials, and instruction. Our experts can provide a range of services including image assessment, quality control and quality assurance, accreditation, education, hands-on training, and project management. If you can not wait for a class on our regular schedule, we can arrange for private tutorials. We also provide classes on-site for physicians' groups and radiology departments. We still make "House Calls".
