Bone Density Program

Advanced Health Education Center (AHEC) has been providing Bone Densitometry education for over ten years.  The bone densitometry program has multiple faculty members with years of experience in the field of Bone Densitometry, Dual X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) and Quantitative Computed Tomography.  The bone densitometry program provides all levels of education from the basic skill sets necessary to perform BMD measurements, radiation safety training for DXA operators, Advanced Densitometry and our newest course offering will include DXA interpretation for physicians. Also offered are registry reviews and preparation courses for advanced examinations for those seeking ARRT or International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) credentials.

Our course content is aimed at the future - your future. In addition to imaging skills coursework, there is a complete line of continuing education seminars that will connect you with the latest information. Seminars are available throughout the year in different cities making it convenient to update existing skills. Partnership classes sponsored in health care facilities can make the education available in smaller geographic venues with the choice of subject content catering to the local audience.

Services are customizable

Faculty is available for private consulting, tutorials, and instruction. Our experts can provide a range of services including image assessment, quality control and quality assurance, accreditation, education, hands-on training, and project management. If you can not wait for a class on our regular schedule, we can arrange for private tutorials. We also provide classes on-site for physicians' groups and radiology departments. We still make "House Calls".
