Mammography - Mammography Fellowship
AHEC has designed and presented specialty ultrasound training in a variety of different fields. A mainstay in our curriculum is Emergency Department Ultrasound, Stat Care Ultrasound for Critical Care Physicians, and Specialty Procedures in Ultrasound. New this year is the Limited OB Ultrasound course. Musculoskeletal Ultrasound is a popular course and a new course in sports medicine ultrasound will be coming soon. Also new this year is a course called Venous Reflux Testing developed upon request from clients. Two interpretation courses, Vascular Interpretation Ultrasound and Echocardiography: Making Sense of the Data, are designed for physicians who must meet CME requirements. Getting Started in Vascular Ultrasound is always a favorite and Breast Ultrasound, Gynecological Ultrasound, Carotid Duplex/Color Flow, General Practice Ultrasound for Physicians, along with OB/GYN Ultrasound and Abdominal Ultrasound complete this year's top training courses.
Training Options
In April, 1999, the final rules of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) became effective that required entry level training for mammography including the perfor-mance of 25 patient procedures under the super-vision of a qualified mammographer. Advanced Health Education Center, Ltd. will accomplish this through two training options listed below.
Courses Cater to Convenience
Our course content is aimed at the future
- your future. In addition to imaging skills coursework, there
is a complete line of continuing education seminars that will connect
you with the latest information. Seminars are available throughout
the year in different cities making it convenient to update existing
skills. Partnership
classes sponsored in health care facilities can make the education
available in smaller geographic venues with the choice of subject
content catering to the local audience.
Services are customizable
Faculty is available for private consulting,
tutorials, and instruction. Our experts can provide a range of
services including image assessment, quality control and quality
assurance, accreditation, education, hands-on training, and project
management. If you can not wait for a class on our regular schedule,
we can arrange for private tutorials. We also provide classes on-site
for physicians' groups and radiology departments. We still make "House
Calls".
