The mission of the AHEC Technology Assessment and Guidance Group (TAGG) is to provide a comprehensive service program to health care facilities and radiology departments for assistance in mammography, ultrasound, and digital technology and PACS.

Customized service packages provide multiple levels of assistance for facilities. As is customary with AHEC services, you may choose the level of assistance that is most appropriate for your department. Service packages are customized for facilities such as:

• Small rural hospitals (<100 beds)

• Imaging centers including startups

• Integrated delivery systems of health care organizations

• Group Purchasing Organizations

• Mid-sized and Large hospitals (>200 beds)

Customized or standard service packages are available. The needs of a small hospital or small physician group and those in the larger facilities or in the commercial setting vary, so you can purchase only the services required. It all begins with our TAGG consultants. The consultants we select are imaging professionals with real-world clinical experience who deliver results. As a client of Advanced Health, you will be assigned your own expert consultant who will act as the point of contact for your consulting needs.

Your AHEC/TAGG consultant will work closely with you to address your immediate and long-term goals. They will coordinate your program, monitor the progress, and help you select the appropriate solution for your facility.

Certainly! Because TAGG is a division of Advanced Health Education Center, you may choose from a variety of available courses. On-site training to meet regulatory requirements can be provided at your facility. If that won't work, you may bring your staff to one of the many Houston area AHEC clinical fellowship partners.

AHEC is an industry leader in entry-level coursework designed for ultrasound training, mammography, digital technology and PACS. Our PACS Administrator course received rave reviews and experienced phenomenal growth in its first year. Ultrasound and mammography courses have been offered under the AHEC flagship for 16 years.

• New service startup to include: accreditation services, policy and procedures, job descriptions, operating procedures, equipment selection, quality control and quality assurance programs, department design or layout.

• Quality Assurance Programs to include: image evaluation, remediation training, retraining, on-site hands-on training, quality control program evaluation, documentation review, clinical image supervision, and accreditation services.

• Productivity and Workflow analysis to increase revenue stream, patient throughput and streamline operations.

• Pre-PACS needs assessment, selection of PACS hardware and software, coordination of PACS implementation, selection of CR/DR imaging equipment, and applications for enhanced utilization.

• Continuing education seminars in partnership with sponsoring facilities or societies creating a "win-win" solution for participants.

• Applications training for PACS software and digital technology applications.

• Strategic partnerships with industry to provide staff and employee training that will meet the business goals of the manufacturer or business.
