Webinar Cancellation and Refund Policy

Advanced Health Education Center (AHEC) decides the Monday prior to the webinar date if an AHEC Live Webinar will be cancelled.

AHEC reserves the right to substitute an instructor’s program if the initial instructor program is not available.

If AHEC cancels a webinar, the participant will be awarded one of the following: a full refund, a tuition credit to be used within the next year, or a transfer into another webinar course of equal or lesser value (before discounts). If the participant chooses to transfer to a webinar of higher value, the participant is responsible for the price difference.

Any participant cancellations received by 5pm the day prior to the course date will be allowed a tuition credit. There are no refunds. If a participant neglects to contact AHEC prior to the course and does not attend, the tuition paid is forfeited to AHEC and no tuition credits are granted.

Continuing Education Credit

Each course sponsored by AHEC is approved for continuing education through the appropriate national and state agencies which require mandatory continuing education for licensure. Each hour of class represents 1 CE Credit or 1 CEU.

Generally, lab time is not approved for full CE Credit. See each course description for course length and CE Credit. SDMS awards 1 hour credit for each hour of lecture and 1 hour credit for every 2 hours of lab.

Class times (Hours)

You can expect your class will conclude between 4:30 - 5:00 PM on the final day. Please schedule your return flights late afternoon or evening. Otherwise you will miss a great deal of important information.

Dress

The dress code is casual for classes. We want you to dress comfortably and be ready to learn. Lab coats and "dress wear" are required in classes with clinical rotations, during clinical rotations only.

Parking

Parking in Houston is on surface lots and is free of charge.

Meals/Restaurants

Houston/AHEC classes
There are multiple eating facilities within walking distance, such as Subway, Chinese Buffet, and Denny's. If you have a car, the possibilities are many. If it rains, AHEC has a small lunch area and you can order and have sandwiches or pizza delivered.

National AHEC classes
AHEC does not provide lunch on site in the hotel seminars. Lunch and gratuities average between $30 and $40 in a hotel setting. In an effort to keep costs for your CE at the lowest rate possible, we felt you would appreciate the opportunity to purchase your own lunch.
