Hands-On Ultrasound Training Course Structure

AHEC offers one, two, three, four and five day courses that provide ample opportunity to familiarize yourself with various ultrasound procedures. Each course begins with lecture on the physics and structure of the system that ultrasound will be performed on. Next, there will be case studies presented by our instructors. The case studies are designed to familiarize all course participants with normal and abnormal findings during an ultrasound. Then, the hands on component of the course gives you the opportunity to perform ultrasounds on live models to gain experience.

Our hands on ultrasound training courses are the ideal educational opportunity for an individual or group of staff members. You can attend instruction at our 12,000 square foot facility in Southwest Houston, which is conveniently located near a major airport for out-of-town participants - or, we can perform the training for your staff at your ultrasound equipped practice.

Our instructors are physicians and professionals that are credentialed to teach and contribute to the content of each course; they are fully qualified to teach these courses, whether you need them for your skill set enhancement or Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit.

The Advanced Health Education Center is accredited by the Association Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians. Each course will have a CME designation based on its length.
